i have been playing around with some extremely cool xslt for the last few days. some
code i have written outputs a huge amount of logging information which needs to
be read by several different audiences – users, support and developers. so i
output the logs to an xml file and then depending on who you are run it through
a different xsl transformation to display the data you are interested in.
it’s surprisingly fast and very flexible, something i will have to spend more
time on in the future.
meanwhile, i have done a fair chunk of my christmas shopping, online as ever.
online shopping is great, you can get some really interesting presents at good
prices. it only falls down at the delivery stage. luckily most of my parcels
have gone through dhl who offer online
tracking and then hold them for me until a saturday when i am around for them
to be delivered.
the tracking is always interesting. i bought one item from spain and here is
