car

been and picked up my car for the australian leg. i had splashed out and gone
for a “premium” car and had arranged for a jaguar xk8, unfortunately, like the
rest of car rentals it seems i have ended up with something different. once
again though it’s not a bad trade, i have a convertible audi tt quattro which
is an absolute rocket. took it for a bit of a test run over the harbour bridge
and up to manly (on the north shore of the harbour) and apart from being an
arse with the petrol cap it is absolutely great fun. so two weeks of driving
heaven to follow.

earlier today i went on the customary bus tour of the city to get my bearings.
there is more things to do than i have time so will have to choose carefully
before heading up to the blue mountains.
