The glass man came this morning to fit the new sealed unit in my front door. Unfortunately when he took out the broken panes the new ones did not fit correctly so it was a matter of putting the old one back and re-ordering a new unit to be delivered next week. Hopefully it will be second time lucky or it could become very expensive for him.
And we have just been hammered in the rugby. This was the first of a series of sporting events over the weekend including the cricket, grand prix and, most importantly for the next few weeks, the first England match in Euro 2004. Hopefully the rest of the sport will go better than the first attempt.
