Adviser Reunion

Last night I went to the reunion of a team I worked on over 4 years ago. It was great to catch up with everyone and is something which, hopefully, will happen more often in future. Quite scarily of the 10 or so people there, only a few of us don’t have kids now.

Even more scarily, the project we all worked on (which was an extranet system) is still live running on a 5.0.4 server. In one way this is good – our code was pretty good at the time. But in another way I am a bit disappointed that it hasn’t been taken further. It was a great system at the time but these days I imagine it’s looking rather dated.
