we had to close up the pool for the “winter” this afternoon. it is, perhaps, a
sign that each year we are closing the pool later and later. when mum and dad
first did it in 1979 it used to happen in early november but now we are waiting
until mid-january. it will need opening up again in only 8 or 10 weeks.

i have just booked the villa for
christmas. it may seem a little early but from the research i have been
doing, the good villas go very quickly. anyway, it gives us something to look
forward to.
