A few of us are in the office today helping with a round of UAT. The project we are working on is basically assuming 7 day weeks at the moment and we are being pushed into doing silly things like a parallel release into SIT and QA at the same time. It means that our UAT testers are finding the basic issues which should have been dealt with long before they get involved.
Unfortunately we are also having a few connectivity problems at the same time. All just run of the mill stuff, but if you add users who think that they are techies reporting their solutions to problems, not the problems themselves it has left us running round for a couple of hours trying to fix things which aren’t broken.
On top of all of this the air conditioning isn’t turned on so it’s like a sauna in here.
Oh the joys of weekend working.
