last night was the first cards night of the year for me. it is becoming
increasingly difficult to organise and as it was only 4 of us managed to make
it. however, it was as always a great evening. the venue was wimbledon this
time and we had the usual selection of “proper” card games like poker and brag
followed by the more freeform games that we make up during the evening
involving dice.
i drove there and back, unfortunately heading home earlier the roads were
heaving as the weather is so good (it’s almost 30 degrees outside) and there
must have been a couple of accidents on the a12 as it took almost 3 hours to
get home. we were stationary long enough for me to get the roof down so at
least i could enjoy the weather.
