i have spent the last couple of days locked in a meeting room working out the
architecture of a new system we have been commissioned to design. it’s pretty
hard-core stuff involving various elements from domino, websphere and .net. the communication layers between
them all are still up for discussion but the current thinking is to use web services for some parts and specific
jdbc drivers for the
performance sensitive areas.
all in all acronym and new technology heaven. of course we still have to do
estimates and prove some of what we have been talking about but this is
interesting stuff (honest :o)).
