Yesterday just went by in a flash. Some really good sessions including those by Julian, Bruce and Kevin. And then following those I was lucky enough to be invited to a bloggers “press” conference along with about 15 other bloggers and Mike Rhodin. I was one of the lucky ones to get to ask a question, so of course I asked about Designer on the Mac. The answer was, how shall I put it, non specific but very promising. The way that Lotus has helped the blogging community is superb, I can’t imagine that many other companies would be confident enough to allow such a group the same access as we have had this year.

The rest of the evening was taken up with the usual round of parties, just a little lower key than normal as this week is a marathon not a sprint 😉

It seems for ever since this new platform for Domino was announced but now it is finally ready for prime time. Lance Spellman did a great job introducing how to set it up and create basic views. A hell of a lot was covered in just an hour so this is definitely something I need to spend more time on when I get home. But for the moment I’m trying not to get too excited about it as we run an old version I db2 which won’t run it 🙁

Sunday is increasingly becoming a full conference day so it we up at 7 where I bumped into Paul and Duff for breakfast before heading over to the yacht for the BDD keynote. I had another breakfast there with Bruce Nathan Ed and Kevin Kavanagh where we learned that even Ed hadn’t known about the release of the 8.5 Mac client beta.

The keynote itself was pretty interesting with the announcement of a new SMB offering. No real details yet but looks promising. Then onto Ron Wunderlich’s session about web 2.0, where IdeaJam got a mention. Hopefully the first of many this week.

And now it’s time for lunch.
