Yes, I did just mention ILUG last week, and there will be more to come in the next few days. But in the meantime, Warren has a call for help out for the UKLUG in September this year. He is looking for a venue in London that can deal with 250 people for two days with breakout rooms etc. If you know of a venue, or indeed run a venue, then please contact Warren over at his site.

Actually. my house is an option bar the geographical distance – 500 miles – from London and the sheer force of will required to get folks to visit rural scotland.
Our village has a huge village hall and a pub, and we’ve been doing marquee tents for the raft races for years. So yeah. All do-able, if a little agricultural. For instance, Wifi might be an issue, given the lack of power in a tent..

How about the Law Society’s headquarters at Chancery lane. I know that they have venue hire facilities (although I have no idea of capacities) and the rooms are v posh:
