I have just heard that I am an uncle for the first time. My brother and sister-in-law have just had a baby girl, Elspeth Victoria was born at 10:13 and weighed 8lbs 10. Mum and daughter are doing well. Congratulations all!

Guys, thanks for your messages – I am overwhelmed at how wonderful Elspeth is. She is our miracle – our rose flowering at midnight (to borrow from Douglas Coupland). She has her mother’s nose…which is a relief! I was so proud when Jen, Trev, Mum and Dad saw her and I look forward to her becoming friends with Aunts, Uncles, Best Men and all our friends!
