Unexpected stay

It ended up being a a late on last night so I stayed in London at short notice.
This is where my AmEx really
pays for itself. I phoned them and within 15 minutes had a room in a pretty
good hotel in the City. It
worked even to the point that when I turned up I was greeted with a “Good
Evening Mr White” whereas I had been expecting at least some trouble finding
the reservation details.

Whenever I stay in London I always wake up at my usual time so I end up in the
office ludicrously early, at least it will give me a good run at the day as we
are just starting the migration of an app from R5 to ND6. I upgraded the server
last night which went fine. Unfortunately the app is not so good, all of the
other work I have done hasn’t had any problems but so far I have discovered
that servlets, some hide formulae, some pass-thru HTML and Java agents have
stopped working. It’s going to be a busy few days.

  1. I don’t know if anyone heard this yesterday but there was a cracking joke played by the BBC, they did a report on the horse racing and said that they are bringning in a new rule tht “all horses and jockey’s will be made to ride at a speed of 30mph until the first post, and that they will have speed camera’s to check this” After this loads of people emailed, phone complaining thinking this would happen. 1 A speed camera can not read Horse Power! 2 I don’t think so, can you really image this poor man/ woman standing there with a speed gun waiting in hope!! well done to the BBC for a cracking Fools
