trip

i have just pulled out my gps for the drive up to nottingham,
not because i don’t know where i am going but because it is good at predicting
how long it will take and also if the traffic is bad i can duck off the main
roads and still know where i am going. anyway, as i was loading the maps in i
cleared the trip computer which i set back to zero before my tour, i thought i
would record the figures for posterity.

i drove 2408 miles over 61 hours and eleven minutes during the three and a bit
weeks i had a car at an average speed of 39 miles per hour. for some reason i
thought i had done a lot more than that but there we go.
