i have recently started running seti@home again. if you haven’t
heard of it, it is a
distributed computing project which uses idle time on your pc to search radio
telescope data for signs of extra-terrestrial intelligence. i got a certificate from
them this morning as i have now completed 100 data units, or the equivalent of
1/3 of a year of computing time.
