i am taking on a bit of a change in job roles at the moment. for the last couple of years i have been one of three lead developers in a large domino development team. we were generally involved in a lot of the design and architecture work plus some of the more complex coding.

since i have come back the emphasis has shifted towards the design side of things and away from the coding. in the short term this looks like it should be quite good but i hope i don't leave coding permanently as i do enjoy it (most of the time). one of the less appealing parts of my job now is to manage the handling of production bugs. by their nature (and that of the people involved) this is a very high pressure position but hopefully it won't take up too much of my day.
