i have just been to see bowling for columbine a documentary feature film by michael moore. i have read most of his books in the past, and although he doesn't put forward what you would call a balanced argument, everything he does say is true.

the film itself is well worth going to see, it examines the gun culture in the states and some of the reasons behind the columbine massacre in 1999. a lot of the reviews have mentioned that moore, with two of the victims of the shootings in columbine managed to get wal-mart to stop selling ammunition (now you can just buy books about it). the most shocking thing to me was early in the film where moore opens a bank account to get the free gun they offer with all new customers! and yet there is still debate about whether there are too many guns in the country.
