Active / Relaxing Weekend

I have been in Nottingham for a couple of days seeing Simon and Fiona. As ever it was hugely relaxing and great to catch up, but for a change we also went and “did” a tourist attraction, the Galleries of Justice. It is made up of a tour round an old police station (which shut in the 1980s) and the old courts and jail. Really interesting and made more so by the actors/guides who take you around.

With a movie, a few drinks, and a very nice chinese for dinner it was an excellent trip. Luckily, the weather was good as well although it looks like the rest of the week is going to revert to type for this summer – humid and rainy.

  1. The Galleries of Justice is great Matt & I did that whilst in Nottingham, not to mention a variety of pubs along our stay. I can also suggested the Caves of Nottingham in the centre of the city.
