Blogsphere Skins

I've been having a closer look at Blogsphere V3 over the last couple of days. It really is a well put together database design. The thing which has impressed me most is the Movable Type skin support. You can just go and download any Movable Type skin (a good place to start is here), copy the css files into a skin document and save it. Or if you want to make your own style, then go here and play around to your heart's content. This is going to keep me entertained for months to come!

Blogsphere posting with MarsEdit

Using my PowerBook for most of the time means that posting using the Notes client and Internet Explorer are not an option. The former as the implementation of Java in the Notes client for Mac is not complete, the latter because IE on the Mac is a joke (I am a pure Firefox user these days anyway). So an hour's research has led me to MarsEdit a tool from the people who write the RSS aggregator which I use; NetNewsWire. It's only a version 1.0 so doesn't offer every tool required, but posting normal entries (like this one) is not a problem at all. If there are people in a similar situation to me I would definitely recommend they take a look at it. The XML-RPC code which the guys have written in Blogsphere to support the Blogger API is really well done and works with no problems at all for me now.
