Given that I am a sucker for all things Apple, the announcement of the new iPod Touch which is basically an iPhone without the phone bit (I guess an “i” then?), had me running to the online store to order one. It won’t arrive untilthe end of the month but I can’t wait, it looks so shiny 🙂

I’m disapointed. I wanted the new iPod touch to have a honking great HD in it. I’ve got a 60Gb 5th gen iPod so there’s not a lot of point getting a 160GB 6th gen, but I’d get a touch one if it had enough storage.I’d like to watch more video on the bigger screen, so why not give me the storage to cope with lots of video?Pah! <img alt="Emoticon" src="http://www.11tmr.com/11tmr.nsf/emoticons/DLYH-5N3GL7/$File/undecided.gif“ />

Very shiny indeed, sadly I’m with Kerr making a comment about capacity. Give a iPod touch 160gb of storage then that’s an awesome shiny gadget with capacity to handle lots of video which is what that lovely screen will be good for. I will be updating my 5th gen 60gb to a 6th gen 160gb and will wait for the updated iPod touch. <img alt="Emoticon" src="http://www.11tmr.com/11tmr.nsf/emoticons/DLYH-5MZVLY/$File/smile.gif“ />

Well obviously it would be great to have 160gb and the touch interface but if I have to choose the new touch seems more appealing to me.Battery life is the killer with the hard drive iPods so until there is some new technology to support the best of both worlds I’ll go with shiny <img alt="Emoticon" src="http://www.11tmr.com/11tmr.nsf/emoticons/DLYH-5MZVLY/$File/smile.gif“ />
